It is an interesting article to
read. The author wrote that if
you want to be a cool person, you need to live in a healthy and having a nourishing
lifestyle. However, this statement is very subjective. Is it a necessity to
live in a healthy and nourishing lifestyle in order to get the title of a cool
person? I do not think so because most of the millionaires men do not have
lifestyles but they are very cool person. Some countries such as South Africa and Fiji assume women that have big
size body are cool. In the article, I notice there are some fallacies. First is
slippery slope. ‘Smoking is really bad for health. It makes your teeth go yellow
and give a pungent stench to your sweat’. The author highlights the
consequences of smoking. In my opinion, smoking is bad for health, but it is not
as an acid test to consider the cool person. This is because most of the famous
actors do smoke and their fan considers it as cool. Next is appeal to
tradition. ’Some of you are allowed to drink alcohol when come of age’. When
someone is drunk, it is not cool. This is because their unconscious action that
frightened other people. The things that afraid and harm hardly other person
such as skinheads, loafing, taking ecstasy and illegal racing should not be a lifestyle
of teenagers because it is not cool at all. Finally, the article is quite nice
to read.
